QA Engineer

About the role

About the role

We're looking for a QA Engineer to own the quality of our web platform end to end. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to catch issues before they reach users — from manual exploratory testing to building out automated coverage. You'll be the person who knows the product better than anyone and who advocates for the candidate and user experience.

What you'll do

  • Design, write, and execute test plans and test cases for new features and releases

  • Perform manual functional, regression, cross-browser, and exploratory testing across web flows

  • Verify fixes on staging/pre-prod environments and sign off before production releases

  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports with steps, expected vs. actual results, and severity

  • Collaborate with developers on root-cause analysis and verify resolutions

  • Build and maintain automated end-to-end and regression test suites

  • Review acceptance criteria on tickets and validate that delivered work meets them

  • Help define and improve QA processes, test coverage, and release checklists

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years in a QA / software testing role, ideally on web applications

  • Strong grasp of QA fundamentals: test design, regression testing, edge-case thinking

  • Experience testing modern web apps (React or similar) across browsers and devices

  • Comfort writing and maintaining automated tests (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium)

  • Familiarity with issue trackers (Linear, Jira) and reading/working from acceptance criteria

  • Basic understanding of APIs and how to test them (Postman or similar)

  • Sharp attention to detail and clear written communication

  • A user-first mindset and the instinct to ask "what could break this?"

Nice to have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing in staging environments

  • Basic SQL for verifying data

  • Exposure to accessibility and compliance-driven testing

  • Familiarity with reading PRs/diffs to understand what changed

Why join us

You'll have real ownership over quality, a direct line to the people building the product, and the autonomy to shape how we test. Your work directly protects the experience of every candidate and employer who uses the platform.
