Security Guard Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, customers, and company property. The ideal candidate is observant, detail-oriented, and capable of responding appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor and protect property.

• Control access to facilities by verifying identification and visitor credentials.

• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and security systems.

• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.

• Investigate and document unusual activities or incidents.

• Complete daily activity logs and detailed incident reports.

• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and management when necessary.

• Conduct security checks of doors, gates, windows, and restricted areas.

• Assist employees and visitors with safety-related concerns.

• Enforce company policies and security procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field preferred.

• Valid security guard license (where required by state regulations).

• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic computer proficiency for report writing and security systems.

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, or AED certification.

• Experience operating CCTV and access control systems.

• Experience in commercial, residential, healthcare, or industrial security environments.
